TCOS is providing video presentations of conference workshops and scientific sessions. These informative webinars are accompanied by a quiz and are eligible for continuing education credits. Now TCOS members can benefit even more from new research and ideas AND obtain CE credits - online. The webinars are easily viewed and are not live events. Watch at your leisure!
AACO Online Webinar Access for Canadian Orthoptists:As of the June 2023 COS, AACO has extended access to their online webinars for core COC/AOC credits.Canadian Orthoptists are now able to virtually attend all AACO didactic webinars for the nominal fee of $20 USD. The webinars typically offer 1.5 hours core COC/AOC CE credits.

Select "More Information" on any webinar of interest then the "Register Here" button and it will prompt you to login in or sign up as a new user below. Follow the email instructions to login, once you pay the fee and sign up, you will have immediate access to the webinar.
There are instructions on how to watch the recording and collect a CE certificate for each webinar. AACO has an email address dedicated to troubleshooting technical issues and is quick to respond if anyone runs into any trouble.

AOC certified Orthoptists have reciprocity with Canada and can also register and pay for an annual TCOS membership.

2023 TCOS Scholarship Award winner, Sydney Stogios, receiving her certificate for her paper titled "The Role of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) in the Examination of the Amblyopic Patient." Sydney is an orthoptic student from the Dalhousie teaching program in Halifax, NS.

Congratulations to Hayley McIntosh (Halifax program), who received The Canadian Orthoptic Society's 2024 TCOS Academic Achievement Award, in recognition of superior scholastic achievement. This is awarded to the graduate with the overall highest score on the combined COC certification written, oral and practical examinations.

Congratulations Kimberly Merrill! The winner of the Ortopad Innovative Orthoptic Research Award, selected from the 2023 TCOS Scientific Session presentations. Her talk was titled “Muscle Paresis After Orbital Decompression”. This award, generously sponsored by Ortopad, is awarded to the best overall research presentation by an orthoptist, with emphasis placed on content, delivery, and originality.Thanks to the support of Mr. Harmutt Otto (owner of Ortopad & co-owner of Optego Vision), this certificate is accompanied by a monetary award of $200.00.
