2012 IOA Orthoptic Congress - June 26 - 29, 2011
 Leaders from orthoptic centers, pediatric ophthalmology/strabismology clinics, and vision scientist from around the world will meet June 26 - 29, 2012 for the twelfth International Orthoptic Congress, continuing the dialogue from previous gatherings in Belgium (2008) and Australia (2004).Held every four years, IOA Congress delegates gather and participate in exhibitions, programs, events and educational initiatives that stimulate delegates thinking, demystifies clinical practice, fosters best practices and scientific advances and allows delegates to share expertise and develop common agendas for action. In 2012 it will be Toronto’s turn to welcome you to the major gateway to Canada and fifth largest city in North America. With almost 5 million inhabitants in the greater metropolitan area, Toronto boasts one of the most ethnically diverse urban populations on the planet, a testament to the multiculturalism that makes up the face of modern Canada. Toronto is the Huron Nation’s word for “meeting place” – a fitting title for a dynamic city that is home to more than 100 cultures and host to events of local, national and international scope.
